김지애는 화가가 그림을 그린다는 것, 설명하지 않아도 소통되는 것들, '무엇을', '왜' 이전에  '그린다' 라는 행위 자체의 절대성을 고민하고 나누고 싶어하는 화가이다.

이번 전시에서는 어느 한여름밤 유원지에서 바라 본 회전 목마의 인상을  2003년 부터 작품의 주요 소재가 되어 온 회전목마가 예전의 상상적 요소들을 모두 제거하고 조형자체에 집중하여 그린 그림을 보여준다  -송은갤러리. 2007

Jieh Kim wants to study and share the absoluteness of painting act. She is more interested in the fact that a painter paints and that there are things we can communicate without explanation than what or why we paint. This exhibition shows her merry-go-round paintings in a different way. Merry-go-rounds have been main inspirations for her works since one summer night she saw one in an amusement park, but  this time usual imaginative factors are removed as she focuses on formative ones.    -SongeunGallery. 2007
